Faculty Recruitment

Applications on prescribed format are invited for the following positions.

1. Professor (16400-22400/-)

i) Islamic Studies.

ii) International Peace and Conflict Studies.

iii) Mathematics.

iv) Computer Applications

ELIGIBILITY

Essential

i) PhD in the concerned subject from a recognized Institution with first Class Masters Degree.

ii) An eminent scholar with proven research skills and having demonstrated contribution in the field evident by publications.

iii) At least 10 years experience in Teaching/Research as Lecturer or above, out of which five years should be in the position of Reader or equivalent.

Desirable

i) Candidates must be able to demonstrate an ability to incorporate inter-disciplinary approaches to their work.

ii) Be capable of good administrative skills.

iii) Show leadership potential.

iv) Excellent communication skills.

v) Administrative experience in teaching /research institution.

2. Reader (12000-18300/-)

i) Business Studies.

ii) Journalism.

ELIGIBILITY

Essential

i) PhD in the concerned subject from a recognized Institution with first Class Masters Degree.

ii) Five years of teaching and/ or research as lecturer or equivalent excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree and has made some mark in the in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contributions to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula

Desirable

i) Leadership skills and ability to incorporate interdisciplinary approaches.

ii) Good communication skills both oral and written.

Application forms along with detailed advertisement notice can be obtained from the office of the Registrar, Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora, Kashmir against the payment of Rs.300/=(Rupees three hundred only) in the shape of Bank Draft in favor of Islamic University of Science & Technology and payable at Awantipora Kashmir. While making request for the application forms by post, candidates are required to send a self addressed envelop (12 x 27 cm ) duly stamped.

Application forms complete in all respects duly supported by attested copies of certificates and testimonials and accompanied by Demand Draft for Rs 500/- drawn in favor of Deputy Finance Officer Islamic University of Science & Technology, payable at Awantipora, Kashmir should reach office of the Registrar by or before 17th July, 2009 up to 4pm. Applications received after the expiry of the said date will not be entertained.
