Ministry of Water Resources requires Senior Technical Assistant (Minor Irrigation)

Applications are invited from officers under the Central Government/State Governments/Union Territories for filling up two posts of Senior Technical Assistant (Minor Irrigation) in the pay scale of Rs.5500-175-9000/- in the Ministry of Water Resources, New Delhi by transfer on deputation basis.

Qualification and eligibility:
The officer should be

(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or
(ii) with 3 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs. 5000-150-8000/- or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; and

(b) Possessing (A) (i) Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent; and
(ii) One year’s experience in Irrigation Projects OR
(B) (i) Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent; and
(ii) five years experience in Irrigation Projects

Period of deputation:
shall not ordinarily exceed three years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Terms and conditions of deputation and pay
: of the officer will be regulated in accordance with DoPT O.M. No.2/29/91-Estt.(Pay.II), dated 5.1.1994, as amended from time to time.

Last date of receipt of application
: Applications (in duplicate) in the prescribed proforma may be sent through proper channel to the Under Secretary (Admn.), Ministry of Water Resources, Shram Shakti Bhawan, Rafi Marg, New Delhi- 110001 within 60 days from the date of advertisement (22th April 2009). While forwarding the applications the following documents/certificate(s) should be positively furnished by the sponsoring authority; (i) Particulars given by the applicant are correct; (ii) no vigilance/disciplinary case is either pending or contemplated against the applicant; (iii) up-to-date CR dossier (iv) Integrity Certificate, No Penalty Statement and (iv) in the case of selection, officer will be relieved for taking up his new assignment.
