Recruitment at Himachal Pardesh Public Service Commission

HIMACHAL PRADESH PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

Applications are invited on the web based Interface for applying online ,from the eligible and desirous citizens of India, for admission to the H.P. Judicial Service Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2009, based on Multiple Choice Questions (100% objective type), to be conducted at Shimla and Dharamshala in Kangra District (if adequate Nos. of candidates opt for Dharamshala centre), followed by main written examination and viva voce, for appointment to the following vacancies of Civil Judges, (Junior Division) in the pay scale of Rs.9000-14550/- :-

1. Clear Cut Vacancies = 4(ST-1, OBC-3)
2. Anticipated Vacancies = 4+2=6
3. Anticipated Vacancies that may arise due to promotion, death or otherwise, say 10% of the number of posts. 5

The computation of the vacancies is subject to variation. The candidates shall apply electronically on web based application through Online interface provided in the website-www.himachal.nic.in/hppsc/. This examination will be conducted by the Commission on 15th May,2009 in accordance with the direction of Hon'ble Supreme Court contained in its judgement dated 04.01.2007 passed in connection with Civil Appeal No.1867/2006 titled as Malik Mazhar Sultan and another Vs U.P. Public Service Commission and Ors., the H.P. Judicial Service Rules, 2004, and the Himachal Pradesh Judicial Service (Syllabus and allocation of Marks) Regulations, 2005 as amended from time to time. The particulars of provisionally admitted candidates showing their roll numbers and examination centres will be available on the website of the Commission on 2nd April,2009. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the recruitment of 5 posts of Excise & Taxation Inspectors (Group C) in the Excise and Taxation Department, U.T., Chandigarh, as per the Performa appended below. The other details are given as under:-

Number of Posts : 5 (Four for General & One for OBC Category)

Scale of Pay : The Scale of Pay will be Rs.5480-160-5800-200-7000-220-8100-275-8925
plus usual allowances.

Qualifications : (As on 1/01/2009)

a. Candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or institution or its equivalent. Candidates with graduation in Commerce will be preferred..

b. Candidate should possess at least 120 hours course with working experience in the use of Personal Computers or Information Technology in Office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing Applications from a Govt. recognized institution or a reputed institution which is ISO 9001 certified.

OR

A computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ‘O’ level certificate of DOEACC of Govt. of India. The candidate should possess the above-mentioned qualifications on or before the last date of receipt of applications. Candidates not possessing the essential qualification shall not be considered.

How to Apply :

a. The completed application form should be sent by Registered post/courier/by hand to the Excise & Taxation Commissioner, U.T., Chandigarh. The last date for submission of application shall be the 4th March,2009 before 5.00 PM in the office of the Excise & Taxation Commissioner, U.T., Chandigarh. No application shall be entertained after this date and time. On the top of the envelope, containing the application form, “Application for the post of Excise and Taxation Inspector” should be written in bold letters. The department will not be responsible for any postal delay.

b.
Three recent (not earlier than three months from the date of application) colour passport size photographs with clear front view of the candidate without cap and sunglasses should be sent alongwith the application form. Two photographs should be pasted on the application form in the space provided. Xerox copy of photographs is not permitted. RECRUITMENT OF CONSTABLES (Wireless Operators) - 2009

Candidates are advised to go through these guidelines/instructions minutely before applying - on line - for the post of Constable in Chandigarh Police.

Bank Draft Number and name of the Bank are mandatory fields in the application form. Therefore, candidates are advised that before starting filling up - on line application form - they must get a bank draft prepared from a bank for Rs.l00/- payable at Chandigarh in favor of “Section Officer/Accounts, UT Police Headquarters Chandigarh.”

There are different categories i.e. General, SC, OBC and Ex-Servicemen for which posts are reserved. The candidate will be considered only for the category for which he/she has filled up the form subject to fulfilling of prescribed eligibility conditions. For example, if a candidate has filled up General Category form though he/she belongs to SC/OBC/Ex-Serviceman Category, he/she will be considered only for General category (provided he/she fulfills eligibility conditions as a General category Candidate) irrespective of his belonging to the SC/OBC/Ex serviceman category. Similarly, if a General Candidate has filled up SC/OBC/Ex-Serviceman form, his/her candidature will stand cancelled being not SC/OBC/Ex-Serviceman. Candidates are, thus, advised to fill up the form for the category they belong to or the category to which they want to compete.

Those already in service must obtain ‘no objection certificate’ from their department before applying for the post of Constable in Chandigarh Police.

After online data entry, candidate will click the “submit and print” option at the end of the on line form and two copies of the print out (application form) will be taken out. One copy of the application form will be sent to “The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Lines. Police Lines, Sector 26, Chandigarh-160026” and the second copy will be retained by the candidate for his/her record and to be shown at the time of Physical Efficiency/Measurement Test and Interview etc. Before sending the downloaded/printed application form, Candidate will affix one latest Passport-size Photograph on the form and duly signed - along with Bank Draft of Rs.l00/- and photocopy of required testimonials will send through Registered post at the above address by 23-3-2009. Those desirous to submit downloaded and printed application forms personally instead of by registered post, can deposit the same in the Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh by 23.3.2009 from 10 AM to 5 PM (except Sundays and Gazetted Holidays). The candidates must understand that the last date for applying for the post of Constable in Chandigarh Police is 10.3.2009 and the last date 23-3-2009 is only for the purpose of submission of hard copy of application. The candidates, thus, should ensure submission of on-line application by 10.3.2009.

On-Line submission of application forms on the website of Chandigarh police www.chandigarhpolice.nic.in will start w.e.f. 8.2.2009.
