Desirable:

a) Doctorate degree or equivalent in related subject from a Recognized University.
b) Experience of managing and directing R & D projects/programmes.
c) Published research work of high standard.

a) Chemical/Mechanical engineers with good knowledge of fluid dynamic analysis/heat transfer/computer aided graphics/modeling softwares such as Solid Works, CFX, ANSYS, MATLAB, FLUENT, NX NASTRAN, Pro-E, Auto CAD.
b) Electronics/Electrical engineers with good knowledge in development of PLC/microprocessor based control system, integrated circuit controls, system integration.
c) Materials/Polymer scientists with good knowledge of synthesis and characterization of such materials.

NCRA-TIFR has set up and operates the world's largest radio telescope at metre wavelengths, the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). Title: “Synthesis and Characterization of Hydrophillic-b-Hydrophobic-b-Hydrophillic Tri-Block Copolymers through Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization”.

Essential qualifications:

For JRF: MSc. in Chemistry, with minimum 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test. NET qualified candidates under i) JRF and ii) Lecturership (NET) categories can be applied to this. Non-NET or non-GATE qualified candidates can not be appointed as JRF as per CSIR guidelines.

For SRF: The NET/GATE qualified candidates having a minimum of 2 years of research experience after M.Sc. or equivalent degree are eligible to apply. Non-NET/GATE qualified can also apply but they should have M.Sc. in Chemistry with two years training in methods of research and aptitude for research assessed from publications in peer reviewed journals.

For RA: Ph.D. in Chemistry.

The eligible candidates will be interviewed by a Board consisting of the PI, Head of the Department and an external member. The suitable candidates will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be paid.
