Applications are invited for the post of Project fellow in a UGC Major Research Project “Phytopharmacological investigation of anticonvulsant profile of Ficus religiosa” from candidates who have passed B. Pharm and M. Pharm (Pharmacology) in first class. Duration of the project is three years. Candidate shall be paid a stipend of Rs 8000/- pm. Candidates having an experience in evaluation of herbal extracts in animal models of epilepsy will be preferred. CV mentioning marks obtained (matriculation onwards) and experience should reach Dr. Rajesh K Goel, Reader, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research, Punjabi University, Patiala-147002 within 15 days of advertisement. The candidates must have passed Punjabi atleast upto Matric Standard upto the last date of receipt of applications (relaxable in case of November, 1984 riots affected Sikh migrant candidates to the extent of 2 years w. e. f. date of joining the post).

SELECTION PROCESS:

Eligible candidates will have to under go a written test and the offer of appointment will be made to the successful candidates based on merit in the written test only. The minimum qualifying marks in the written test for General Category candidates is 50% and for Reserve Category candidates is 40%.

HOW TO APPLY :

Candidates satisfying the conditions of eligibility as on 6.02.2009 may submit their application in the prescribed Format which shall be either hand-written in bold Capitals or typewritten on A4 size paper only. The candidates are required to strictly follow the Application Format and the same may be downloaded from PSEB website www.pseb.gov.in and fill up the same in ENGLISH LANGUAGE ONLY. The application should be properly signed. DO NOT ATTACH ANY CERTIFICATE OR PHOTOCOPY OF TESTIMONIAL EXCEPT CERTIFICATE OF RESERVED CATEGORY, IF APPLICABLE.
