DIRECT RECRUITMENT TO THE UTTAR PRADESH HIGHER JUDICIAL SERVICE -2009

Applications are invited for recruitment against 68 vacancies in the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service for 41 back log vacancies (Gen.-10, SC-15, ST-2 & OBC-14) and 27 current vacancies (Gen.-14, SC-6, OBC-7) in the pay scale of Rs.16,750-20,500 (un-revised). There shall be 20% horizontal reservation for women. There shall be a preliminary examination (objective) to be held on 28.06.2009 at Allahabad and only those candidates shall be called to appear in the Main Written Examination who secure 50% or more marks in the Preliminary provided candidates not more than 20 times of number of vacancies shall be admitted to the Main Written Examination. Candidates securing 50% or above in the Main Written Examination shall be called to appear in the Interview. Application forms can be obtained from the office of Registrar (Selection & Appointment), High Court, Allahabad on payment of Rs. 100/- or by sending DD of Rs.100/- in favour of Registrar (Selection & Appointment), High Court, Allahabad payable at State Bank of India, High Court Branch, Allahabad.

Eligibility of candidates: 1. The applicant must be a citizen of India. 2. The applicant must be an Advocate of not less than seven year standing on 01.01.2010. 3. The applicant must have attained the age of 35 years and must not have attained the age of 45 years on 01.01.2010. Age limit shall be higher by 3 years for the candidates belonging to S.C/S.T./O.B.C. and such other categories as may be notified by the Government from time to time. 4. The candidates must fulfil all the eligibility conditions required under the U.P. Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1975.

Examination fee would be Rs.750/- (Rs.500/- for SC & ST only). Those candidates who have down loaded the form from the web site shall also pay additional fee of Rs.100/- for the application form.

The Application form will have to be forwarded by the District & Sessions Judge of the district within whose territorial jurisdiction the candidate has been practising or the Registrar General, High Court Allahabad in case of candidate practising in Allahabad High Court or Registrar, Lucknow Bench, Lucknow for those practising in Lucknow Bench or Registrar General/Registrar of the other High Court, in case of candidates practising out side Uttar Pradesh.

The last date for submission of duly completed application form is 15.05.2009 up to 4.30 p.m.

It is on the lookout for Engineers (BE/M.Tech)-M.Tech / Electrical / Electronics with 2 to 4 years experience in automotive industry in the area of NVH, passive safety, power train, Certification, fatigue and Vehicle Dynamics for its Corporate Office in New Delhi. QUALIFICATIONS:

1. M.Sc./M.Tech. in bio-technology, or M.Sc. in Agricultural genetics/plant breeding/agri-biotechnology, with B.Sc. (Agriculture), and Ph.D. in a related subject;

2. M.Sc. in Horticulture, with B.Sc. (Agriculture) from a recognized Agricultural University, and Ph.D. in a related subject;

Candidates should have qualified at the NET/SET examination for lecturership. Those who have not cleared NET/SET may be appointed contractually, subject to NET/SET qualification. Salary according to UGC scales of pay, subject to possessing UGC qualifications.

Applications are invited for purely temporary research positions for two DST sponsored R&D projects entitled

(i) “MODELING AND ANALYSIS OF NONLINEAR WAVEGUIDE DEVICES FOR ALL OPTICAL SWITCHING AND LOGIC GATES” under the supervision of Dr. S. Medhekar and

(ii) “STUDIES ON FERROMAGNETIC-FERROELECTRIC COMPOSITES AND THEIR ELECTRONIC APPLICATIONS” under the supervision of Dr. Sunita Keshri (Shaw).

The appointment will initially be for a period of one year and may be extended up to a maximum of three years subject to satisfactory performance.

Minimum Qualification

SRF [1 in Project (i)]: M. Sc. in Physics/Applied Physics with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST). Two years of research experience after M. Sc. in relevant field. Knowledge of electromagnetic theory, computer programming and familiarity with MatLab are desirable. Fellowship Rs. 14,000/- PM + HRA as admissible.

JRFs [1 each in Projects (i) and (ii)]: M. Sc. in Physics/Applied Physics with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) and NET/GATE qualified. Non NET/GATE candidate may be considered if such qualified candidate is not available.

Fellowship Rs. 12,000/- PM + HRA as admissible.
