Applications are invited for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DST, New Delhi funded research project entitled “Gene polymorphism as risk towards asthma in North Indian population” to be executed in the Department of Biotechnology, Panjab University, Chandigarh under the following terms and conditions:
Position: JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW – 1 (One)
Age limit: 28 YEARS but relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/ & women candidates
Duration: 3 YEARS
Emoluments: Rs. 12000/- during 1 & 2nd year and Rs. 14000/- during the 3rd year + 15% HRA as per University rules
Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Biological Sciences with at least 55% marks
Desirable Qualification: CSIR/ UGC - NET in Life Sciences/ PU Ph.D Entrance

Interested candidates can send their application, along with complete biodata and attested copies of the necessary certificates indicating the date of birth, marks in qualifying examination and the proof of NET/PU Ph. The Indian Law Institute invites applications on plain paper for the position of ONE Research Professor on Deputation/ Contract Basis to look after the evening Post Graduate Diploma Programmes as well as evening LL.M. Programme proposed to be conducted by the Indian Law Institute:
Eligibility Requirements: Those who are/ have been professors in law with Post Graduate teaching experience, are eligible to apply. All the qualifications and experience as prescribed by UGC.
Desirable: At least 10 years of experience of Post Graduate teaching/ research in universities/ colleges and or other institutions of higher education/ research.
Age: Preferably below 65 years.
Period of Appointment: The initial selection will be for one year which may be extended upto 2 years depending upon the performance of the appointee. Appointment will be made purely on deputation or on contract basis.
Remuneration: As per UGC guidelines.
Working Hours: The working Hours will be from 12.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. – 6 days in a week.
Termination of Appointment: The appointment will be terminated automatically on the expiry of the Deputation/ contract unless extended in writing by the competent authority.

Applications are invited from officers under the Central Government/State Governments/Union Territories for filling up two posts of Senior Technical Assistant (Minor Irrigation) in the pay scale of Rs.5500-175-9000/- in the Ministry of Water Resources, New Delhi by transfer on deputation basis.
Qualification and eligibility: The officer should be
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or
(ii) with 3 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs. 5000-150-8000/- or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; and
(b) Possessing (A) (i) Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent; and
(ii) One year’s experience in Irrigation Projects OR
(B) (i) Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent; and
(ii) five years experience in Irrigation Projects
Period of deputation: shall not ordinarily exceed three years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Terms and conditions of deputation and pay: of the officer will be regulated in accordance with DoPT O.M. No.2/29/91-Estt.(Pay.II), dated 5.1.1994, as amended from time to time.
Last date of receipt of application: Applications (in duplicate) in the prescribed proforma may be sent through proper channel to the Under Secretary (Admn.), Ministry of Water Resources, Shram Shakti Bhawan, Rafi Marg, New Delhi- 110001 within 60 days from the date of advertisement (22th April 2009). While forwarding the applications the following documents/certificate(s) should be positively furnished by the sponsoring authority; (i) Particulars given by the applicant are correct; (ii) no vigilance/disciplinary case is either pending or contemplated against the applicant; (iii) up-to-date CR dossier (iv) Integrity Certificate, No Penalty Statement and (iv) in the case of selection, officer will be relieved for taking up his new assignment.
