Job Post: Sr. Engineer – Systems
Qualification: B.E./B.Sc (Comp)/MCA with MCSE certification.
Profile: 4-6 years relevant experience in a banking WAN infrastructure setup preferred. Experience on HP Servers, thin clients, desktops & Windows Server 2003 essential, Mail Server. Should have experience in administering Desktop, Laptops, Servers and Backup & Peripherals, installation and support of Windows Server 2003/XP etc. Should be able to troubleshoot on Applications, Operating System etc. Good working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, WINS, DNS, DHCP, Windows Terminal Server, ICA/RDB protocols, TCP/IP Networking knowledge, Network Infrastructure - Hardware, Software, Ethernet Cabling, Ports, IP addresses, NAT boxes, Imaging - Ghost or equivalent. Should have exposure to proposing and designing solutions to meet customer requirements and address complex business / technical process requirements. Excellent communication and presentation skills essential. Possesses ability to work as part of a team, yet work independently on complex problems. Ability to deal with users at all levels in an organisation.
Responsibilities: Those described for the Systems Engineer but require stronger work experience within each function. Also includes maintaining the maximum uptime of servers & desktops inorder to meet SLA's. Configuring and Trouble shooting HP servers, thin clients, desktops and all software used in the organisation. Establish, implement and update system administration (hardware and software) policies and procedures. New Project Implementations/Migrations. Keeping track of the network devices, assets and capacity and updating records accordingly. Responsible for maintaining the overall data security of the servers to the highest possible level. Responsible for all matters pertaining to Domain, Anti-virus, patch management and data policy. Manage and direct team of Systems Engineers. Build software to meet user needs.
